As for our dark chocolate silk, the sugar is only 20% of the overall dessert. If the chocolate dessert includes ganache; we use a semi sweet chocolate and we do NOT add any sugar to our ganache recipe white or dark.
See the testimonial by Shirley MacDowell...she is a diabetic.
3. How long can I keep my dessert in the refrigerator after it has been thawed?
We suggest only keeping it in the refrigerator for no more than 7 days but it can be re-frozen 3 times without compromising the quality.
4. Can I re-freeze my dessert once it has been thawed.....YES....
You can re-freeze your dessert 3 times without compromising the quality of the dessert unless it has a cake layer. If the dessert has a cake layer, you will only want to re-freeze one more time. Make sure you keep your dessert in the box in which it was shipped. This box will greatly increase the shelf life of the product. You should be able to keep your dessert for a minimum of 3 MONTHS.
5. What is the BEST way to re-freeze my dessert?
Be sure to save the box your dessert was shipped in as this will ensure against freezer burn and those unusual tastes that sometimes invade your freezer and then transfer to your frozen food.
6. How should I wrap my dessert for re-freezing?
You should place the remaining dessert in the freezer just overnight and when completely frozen, wrap your dessert in plastic wrap then place back in the shipping box with the center cut out. Place the styro top back on the top of the dessert, close the top of the box and your dessert should be good for at least 3 months....if it lasts that long..lol!
7. NUTS and NUT ALLERGIES....
Our desserts are prepared in a kitchen that uses NUTS in other products.
8. Are there Allergens in this product....YES
there is dairy; eggs, butter and cream in all of our products. We use a pasteurized egg in our Silk to insure against Salmonella. The pasteurized egg is heated to 161 degrees for 3 minutes to kill any and all Salmonella in our egg products.
